Not sure if this completely solves the issue or just postpones it for a long time, but I didn't see the problem again after making this change. I found a solution, which is to increase the memory from 16mb (the default) to 64mb: Ok, the level 13 bug is back and far worse on level 35 (making it practically impossible to complete). Re: Spells won't work for me or CPU characters. Instead, I got through the level by playing on low resolution mode - it seemed to make a big difference. I tried the "keep the population down" solution a couple of people recommended, but it didn't work very well. I experienced the bug where you (and the enemies) stop being able to use spells. You can find a version at the old-games website. ![]() The solution was not to use the original Magic Carpet but the Magic Carpet Plus release which includes the Hidden Worlds Expansion. ![]() I even realized that it keeps crashing after pressing some keys to often. I've also discovered the crashes after changing the spells.

![]() Because many of these NPC followers are unkillable, and there is no limit to the number of temporary followers that you can have at one time, you can use them to fight difficult enemies in different questlines. If you avoid completing the quest, they may follow you around indefinitely. Some NPCs follow you temporarily for the duration of certain quests. At any time, you are able to have at most one permanent NPC follower and one creature follower. ![]() You can also find mercenaries for hire in some cities and recruit certain creatures. ![]() Permanent followers usually become available after you complete certain quests. Followers can be sorted into those who follow you indefinitely (until they die or are dismissed), and those who follow you temporarily (for example,during certain quests). Once you go down the ladder, look through the ladder to see a few glowing dots. Once the door is open, go through the next room with a creature hanging from the ceiling. Follow the cart rails in the snow to the next building, where to the right you'll find an Alient Artifact, and go in. There's a weapon part, suit upgrade station, and some supplies in this room.Īdvance out the back door and fight your way past these guys. Fight your way across the gap and continue into the next building. Looks like you are getting attacked by some men. Now, out the door next to the bench, and out the next door until you are outside. There is a bench right behind you if you need to construct one.
